Toast Meets Chico - 15/06/09
There you all were thinking... well he's let us down again. Nooooooooooooo! New comic! It is a little late and probably put together a little quicker than intended as I left Leyla out. Leyla is the bitch of our two dogs and Chico is our little black and white Shih-Tzu (the bloke). I love those two dogs to bits and then some. They suffer from being completely stupid at times and they also seem to behave (to quote Aaron) 'like little people'. Of particular note is Chico's 'sitting at a bar' stance he used to pull off. He would stand up on his back feet and rest his front paws on your knees. Instead of moving away after a while he would lower himself so that he was sitting down on his back legs while upright with one of his paws resting on your knee as if he was sitting at the bar. Comical.
Dogs scare people. Any time anyone meets any dog for the first time they usually just crap themselves. More so if it is a big dog but even small dogs have a bite. People always do that hilarious frozen on the spot combined with a pinch of awkward pat on the head with a stiff arm ready to pull it away at any given moment should the dog get to close with his mouth. All this comes of course with complimentary nervous giggle.
My sister's big Japanese Akita, Holly, is scary to even look at. As it is taller than me when it stands on its back legs. Having said that, I have never seen such a big, dopey, friendly, playful dog. It still acts like an oversized puppy bounding around its pen when anyone goes in. It's such a wonderful animal.
The reason for the slight lateness is due to a mountain load of work the past week. I think I'm working on around 12 different projects at once. Some are kinda on standby mode just waiting for feedback which could happen at any moment. I'm quite glad now I have made three new comics in a row!! This one is for the toast lovers (all eight of you).
I am now off to finish the new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics. They are excellent. Have a nice week people and remember TRANSFORMERS 2 IS OUT THIS WEEKEND!! My excitement can barely be contained in these robotic pants.
